Simulated Emergency Response Competition (SERC)

Simulated Emergency Response Competition (SERC)

Each year the Simulated Emergency Response Competition (SERC) is held at the Aquatic Safety Training Academy Seven Hills. This competition tests the initiative, judgment, knowledge, and abilities of lifesavers who, acting as a team or individually, apply lifesaving skills in a simulated emergency situation unknown to them prior to the start. This competition is judged within a 2-minute time limit. All teams respond to the identical situation and are evaluated by the same judges.

We take great pride in announcing Enfield as the winners of the 2014-2015 SERC Trophy. Congratulations to the Enfield SERC team – we are very proud of you!

Life Saving Award Training under way!

Life Saving Award Training under way!

Life Saving Award training is under way – real life rescue situations are simulated and coaching is given so members learn how to respond to different kinds of (often challenging!) situations. Members of various ages (from age 7 to 45) are undergoing life saving Award training in order to achieve their Royal Life Saving Award.

Award training is the most important part of what we do at Enfield Life Saving Club and it is great to see members working together in the pool practising water safety and rescue techniques.
